All Praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, and seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil in our souls and from our sinful deeds. Whoever Allah guides, no one can mislead. And whoever Allah misguides, no one can guide. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and we bear witness that Muhammad (salallahu ‘alayhi wasalam) is His Slave and Messenger.

O believers have taqwa of Allah according to His right and die not save as Muslims. O mankind, have taqwa of your Lord, the One who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and from them spread many men and women. And fear Allah from who you demand your mutual rights and do not cut familial relations. Surely, Allah is Ever an All-Watcher over you. O believers, have taqwa of Allah and always speak the truth. He will direct you to do righteous deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has indeed achieved a great achievement.

As to what follows; the best of speech is the Book of Allah, and the best of guidance is the Guidance of Muhammad (salallahu ‘alayhi wasalam), the worst of affairs are the innovated ones, for every innovated matter leads to heresy, every heresy leads to misguidance, and every misguidance leads to the Fire.

The Muslim world today is faced with numerous problems – splitting by the hour, disintegrating into fragments that have long been prophesied by Allah’s Messenger (salallahu ‘alayhi wasalam); pursuit for knowledge has become a task that is highly abhorred and hence, abandoned; and it will not be out of place to say the Ummah is in a state of misplaced priorities. Verily, there is no panacea to these problems other than to return to what the companions of Allah’s Messenger (salallahu ‘alayhi wasalam) were upon.

As an effort to restore a leading and progressive role to the Muslim Ummah in all branches of knowledge, qualities of human life and civilization, the Islamic CEntre for Education, Research and Awareness (ICEERA) was founded in the late 1427 AH/2006AD. ICEERA does not only aim at promoting classical Islamic scholarship and Intellectual advancement among the Muslim populace it also Allah Willing (Inshaa Allah) hopes to realise these by utilising state-of-the-art learning centres and facilities to appropriately integrate Islamic and Conventional education. Allah Willing, other programs and activities ICEERA hopes to execute so as to accomplish its objectives are summarised as follows:

• Organising lectures, seminars, national and international conventions to promote the revival of Islamic Renaissance.
• Establishing of Endowment Fund for the creation of libraries, Muslim cemetery, hospitals, orphanages, scholarships/awards, etc.
• Publication of books, journals, booklets and other educative resources.
• Participating and encouraging research & development in major and beneficial fields of knowledge to increase independence of Muslims as individuals and as an Ummah.

Allah says: “Say (O Muhammad): ‘Verily, my Salât (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allâh, the Lord of the 'Alamîn (mankind, jinns and all that exists). He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am the first of the Muslims.’” {Surah Al-An’am 162 – 163}. As a result, we seek Allah’s face alone and ask Him to excel us beyond our expectations.
